UK Food Bloggers Association

Hello!

Phew, it's Friday and I have a new blog post I'd like to share with you all. I'm writing a mult-part guide on food blogger photography. This will take you through everything from buying a camera (or using your current one) and other equipment, taking food photos and then editing them.

The first part is available here: http://www.foodforfriendsyeah.co.uk/2010/02/12/food-blogger-photogr...

and covers equipment and software. The next part will be up in the next week or so.

I'm open to feedback and any questions anyone may have. If I don't know the answer I am more than happy to go away and find it for you.

If you'd like to know about a specific aspect of photography and I don't cover it, I can also write up a guide. I love learning and am a pretty resourceful fellow! :)

Enjoy your weekend.

Matt

Lenses, please.

Do you mean, you think I should cover lenses?

I may at some point, but this guide will be focussing on keeping costs down, and lenses tend to be expensive. I'd say the lens which comes with a camera is usually sufficient to begin with, as much as I'd like to buy an upgrade, I'm not at that level yet!

Ah, well it was the lenses that I was interested in, at least today. My photography is fairly crappy (but a lot better after some advice from Jaden at Steamy Kitchen), and any and all tips come in useful.

Ahhh, I see! Maybe that could be an extra part to the series at the end!

Got given a Canon 1000D DSLR and have no bloody clue how to get the best images. Most pics get taken at night and i use the 'tulip' setting. Am blatantly not using it to its full capacity.
