Where does your interest in food blogging extend to? Plus a plea for advice

Hi there,

I'm a bit of a newbie on UKFBA and a blogger across a few topics (food, social media, fashion and music, specifically - although lately my posts aren't as regular as I'd like!)

The main purpose of this post is to hopefully have a chat with you all about the extents of your interest in food blogging:

How many of you extend your blogging interests to general mealtime habits, new       breakthroughs in cutlery/dinnerware, family mealtimes, dinner parties and general routines surrounding food?

I'd also like to draw your attention to the fact that I'm a PR by day, journo/blogger by night.  One of my clients, Chicago Town Pizza, is launching a new type of cutlery for 2010 - the knork. As a cross between a knife and a fork, it presents a departure in routines surrounding food. It means you can eat in one hand (good for busy
living), presents a less messy way of eating and makes family meal times
more fun.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Q I asked above, and also to hear whether any of you would be interested in this (I can message you more info and images if you are, but I haven't posted it here for the sake of those who aren't).

Abigail xx

Is Chicago Town Pizza actually a food? Really?
My blogging tends to go as far as I don't feed my family processed foods. I'm also with the above, I think children should be using a knife AND a fork. And,how does eating with one hand make mealtimes more fun for anyone?

In terms of blogging, I don't blog everything I eat, just things that I think may be interesting / useful /enjoyable for other people. I blog gluten free and try to give recipes to help other gf people to make good safe food at home. Making our own food from scratch is so doubly important for gluten-free people, we need to be able to guarantee safe and affordable food. Gluten free foods from a supermarket are usually 3-4x more expensive that "normal" food.

In terms of the knork (nark?), spork or whatever. I'm with the majority (so far!), it took me ages to teach my daughter to eat with a knife and fork, so I don't really want someone coming along and buggering that up. Having said that, pizza is a street food and has always been a finger food, so we eat it with our fingers ... it would be really counter-intuitive to introduce any cutlery. Just bizarre, sorry!
