I'm a senior reporter who works for Trinity Mirror Merseyside.

I live in Liverpool and write general news stories for seven of the weekly papers.

My blog is featured on the newspapers websites and I basically started it because I love food and want to write about it more!

I love cooking and eating out and my blog is a mixture of recipes, local and national food news and celeb chef ponderings. Check it out!

Masterchef: The Professionals winner announced

Masterchef finally came to an end last night, after weeks. And weeks. And weeks.

Essex boy Steve Groves was crowned the winner and deservedly so.

Slooooow cooking in The Kitchen

I've been going a bit mad with kitchen accessories lately and my latest addition is a slow cooker.

I need some tasty recipes to try out in it, so it doesn't end up sitting in the box.
