Crispy Roast Duck with Caponata

...Using as many vegetables possible, this simple-but-not-strictly-caponata
recipe packs a serious flavour punch. Rich red tomatoes melt into sweet
crunchy peppers, and the addition of fennel leaves a spicy aniseed
tang.....(Read more)

Phở

It's right about this time of year that the inevitable lethargy sets in.
I start to 'lose my stoke' so to speak.....Today's recipe will chase away all sorts of malady, from break up blues,
jaundiced job-hunting, over-indulged & inebriated insides to
sniffly snouts and abusers of alliteration....(Read more)

Today's recipe was borne of necessity..As Tyler Durden might say, I had a fridge full of condiments and no food! I'm rarely short of red wine, so I based my appetite on something that would work
well with a glass (or four). (Continue reading)

Hi Rachel
Thanks for the kind comments.
I have a kitchenaid before I had that, I had one of the tesco value electric hand mixers not as good as the kitchenaid, but I think that it only cost £3.47 so very good value.
I dont have a magimix so dont know how it would compare (all I know is my baking improved a lot when I started weighing ingredients rather than guessing)

Hi Rachel,
Thank you so much for peeking around at my blog and your kind words. I'm getting down to the wire with the cookbook, and it's all quite exciting, though frantic at the same time. Your recipes all sound wonderful - I'm looking forward to trying some out later this summer - with all of the rabbits residing in my yard, I'm thinking a rabbit ragu will be in order! Or, I suppose I could just purchase a rabbit. That might be a bit more humane for both the rabbits as well as my husband and me!
Take care, Amy

Hey, thanks very much! I was just checking out your blog - awesome! I love the photos - its hard to make food look appetising on camera sometimes, but all the pictures look mouth-wateringly awesome! It reminds me of the M&S adverts. : -)

Rachel, thanks for the compliments on the writing. I have to say it's taken me a while to find my grove, but I think I'm finally getting there and loving it, phew. Your blog looks great too, will link yours to mine. Steven.
